A Home Away from Home for Your Pup!

Years ago me (Karen), my husband Dennis and our beautiful Sheepadoodle Mali Rae started offering day care and boarding services in our own home to our closest friends and neighbors. Little by little, the word got out and at some point, we realized this was not our hobby anymore but our passion and that's when we decided to formally create Mali's House; a safe and fun place to leave your dogs when you are not home. Since then, we have made so many friends, learned, and keep growing all together as a community! We really appreciate you being here and giving us the opportunity to share your pup's most memorable years with us!

My vast knowledge and experience with hundreds of Dog breeds & being able to understand body language/ behavior. This helps me to assure I can create a trusting & comfortable relationship with the dogs I work with and earn their respect.
My favorite thing about my job is the bond we form with the customer's dogs, because to work with animals you need to love them unconditionally as if they were our own.

Hey I’m Jake! Ive always been very focused and drawn to animals and long for meaningful connections. I love getting to know each dog personally and to make myself feel like a part of their life. Taking care and loving them comes easy, and I enjoy knowing that they are safe in my hands.

I have been working with dogs practically since I learned to read , and I have got to admit my favorite part of it all is seeing the differences in dogs personalities + overall their lifestyle. From helping/saving dogs at the vet, to training the “untrainable”, to bathing- Ive never had the motivation to work , but when it comes to clocking in& immediately working/playing with dogs- I am all for it ! Animals truly balance out a workday, and they magically make the any existing stress DISAPPEAR.

Hi, I'm Jackie, a dedicated dog attendant with 2 years of experience caring for our furry friends at Mali's House! My skills include understanding of dog behavior, administering medication, and creating a safe and fun environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes. I'm certified in Cat and Dog First Aid, and I take pride in tailoring my care to meet each dog's unique needs. What I love most about my job is the joy and unconditional love dogs bring into our lives. Whether it's seeing a shy pup come out of their shell or watching a playful dog light up during playtime, every moment is special.

Im a straight A student, I've gotten many awards from school such as Varsity, Jv, state championship winner’s certificates along with people choice awards(students who have stuck out the most only 66 per year are picked) been a gymnast for 15 years, have been working with animals since i could walk/ always had animals growing up and worked with my mom at a grooming shop she used to own, Animals are very interesting to me and I hope to go to coastal Carolina for college to study marine biology

I’ve been working with dogs since I was kid. It started with pet siting and training. I also did a lot of grooming and photography as well. I did go to vet school. I’ve worked at a couple of vet clinics down in my hometown in Mississippi. And have done an extensive amount of volunteer and internship hours at animal shelters as well.

  • How long are daycare packages valid for?
    6 months all packages.
  • What is the emergency protocol if something happens to my dog and I'm out of reach or outside of the country?
    During your first check in we will ask you for a secondary emergency contact, that person will be called if something happens. We will also have your dog’s vet information in case he/she needs to be taken to the ER. We count with a partnership with Roncocas veterinary services in case your primary vet is not reachable. We will create an emergency report detailing all steps taken during the emergency and will have all pertinent documentation ready for when you are back or we can also email it to you during the process.
  • Is my dog going to be crated?
    We offer both, crate and free roaming options due to some parents with puppies who are still in training mode but also some parents prefer their dogs to have their own space at night. For those who don’t like crating their dog, they will be sleeping in group in monitored free roaming spaces.
  • Do you ever plan on boarding cats?
    We are not closed to the idea. However we are not ready for it just yet.
  • Do you offer outdoor walks since your location is only indoor?
    Yes, we have a daily 40 min walk session scheduled for those interested. This service is an additional $10 for either daycare or boarding services.
